There is a ‘40/70 rule’ that says by the time you are 40 years old or your parents are 70 years old, you should have had a conversation with them about their wishes and concerns regarding aging, health care, and who will act for them if itbecomes necessary. But what do you say? And how do you approach these sensitive topics in arespectful and loving manner? Join Meg Stoltzfus, Lifespan Services Manager with the Office of Work, Life and Engagement, to learn how to have these important conversations with your parents. Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can force you to evacuate or confine you to your home. Although we know that these situations can occur, most of us are still not sufficiently prepared to protect our families in the event of an emergency. Join Meg Stoltzfus, Lifespan Services Manager, to learn how to assemble an emergency kit, develop your family’s plan and stay informed.

Johns Hopkins offers a number of smoking cessation programs for employees. Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Johns Hopkins Hospital Wellnet, as well as Johns Hopkins Bayview Wellnet, offer a network of wellness cessation services for benefit-eligible employees. Also, EHP Health Coaches, who are available for all EHP members, can help you develop your own quit-smoking action plan.
